Beauty Haul | Benefit, Mac + More

I've been thinking for a while about what my next post should be and I realised I've bought quite a few beauty products over the last week or so. I've also just came back from a trip to Berlin with my boyfriend, so a few of the items I bought in duty free in the airport and one item I bought in Berlin. The rest I bought back at home in Edinburgh, but a few of them I've had my eye on for ages.

(I have grouped the products into categories, for example brushes, lipsticks etc)

The first products I got on my beauty haul were some Benefit cosmetics. The first thing I got was the "they're real push-up liner" - I actually bought this in Berlin for €25, but you can buy it in the UK for £18.50. I was offered a trial of the eyeliner in the store and the lady tried it on me, which lead to me buying the other two products when I got home. I've since tried the eyeliner on my own and I really like it, it looks amazing on the eyes and it doesn't smudge at all - I do recommend a good quality eye make-up remover in order to get it off (I use Clarins Instant Eye Make-up remover (£18), its a little pricy but well worth it). It is a tad tricky to get used to but I'm sure practice makes perfect!

The other two products the lady also used on me and I loved them so much that I just had to buy them. The first item is "Fake up - hydrating crease-control concealer" (£18.50). I got it in shade 01 Light, purely because I'm very pale and the lighter the better haha! Once the lady put it on my skin I instantly looked more awake and it lasted. This was our final day and we got the plane home that evening, once I got off the plane I still looked reasonably awake even though I didn't feel it. The final Benefit product was "Rockateur"(£23.50) which is a shimmery pink blusher. I've been hunting for a decent blusher for a while and I've absolutely fallen in love with this. It gives such a natural glow and it is perfect for this time of year!

The second lot of products I bought were brushes. I got the Mac one in duty free, its the "150 Large powder brush"(£33.50). I got it for a little less because I didn't have to pay the duty on it. It's unbelievably soft, I've been using the same powder brush for years and I needed an improvement. The other two brushes I bought I got out of boots, they are both made by Real Techniques. The one on the left is a "Stippling brush" (£11.99) and the one on the right is a "Blush Brush" (£9.99). I've got one of their other brushes and I love it so I'm super excited to use these. Everyone raves about them and they have great reviews as well as online tutorials to let you know how to use them. They are also much cheaper than the Mac brushes!

Right so I'm a bit of a nail polish addict and I just can't help myself. I bought the Essie (£7.99) one in Berlin - I've been looking everywhere for it in the UK but everywhere I go its sold out, but you can get them in Superdrug in the UK. It's in the shade "mint candy apple". It's such a summery colour and I am so excited to use it. The OPI one is in the shade "You're such a budapest"(£11.95). I also got this one in duty free so I got it a tad cheaper. I've actually just put it on and its SUCH a pretty shade!!!

Finally I bought two Mac lipsticks in the airport. The pinky coloured one is called "speed dial" (£15). It is more of a creamy lipstick compared to the other one, it lasts long but doesn't leave a stain. The other one is called "rebel" which I've been dying to get for months!! It is just as perfect and amazing as I thought it would be. It stays on for hours and even after it fades it leaves a dark pink stain on your lips, I completely love it.

I think I went a bit mental on the beauty stuff and a lot of it is way more pricy than I would normally pay - I'm such a big fan of my drugstore brands. I just fancied trying something a bit different and I'm excited to get using them. I also bought quite a lot of clothes on my trip to Berlin - the sales were AMAZING so I might do a clothes haul soon.
