A day at Edinburgh Fringe Festival
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is one of my favourite times of year in this city! It just puts some life into our city - its full of tourists and the nice weather makes it even better. I've always been a fan of drama and plays, and I always try my hardest to go and see at least one show!
Every year (since I was tiny) me and my gran go up into the Royal Mile and pick up loads of leaflets for all the shows, we watch the street performers (some good - some bad), and we have a look at all the lovely little stalls that pop up and we usually buy something! This year I got the cutest copy of Alice and Wonderland - its a small hardback copy, complete with little illustrations. I personally love stuff like that. I also got a postcard with the saying "Life is like a cup of tea, its all about how you make it", which is now pinned up on my wall for inspiration. The stall also has a shop & a website (here) - I really recommend her stuff. Its just gorgeous and unique!
We spent the whole day just wandering around, speaking to people and just having fun! My gran is one of my favourite people to spend time with. I try and see her every week and she is one of my best friends, after we finished looking at all the stalls and street performers we walked into Princes street for a look at the shops. I found a gorgeous coat out of Primark - I was 1. so surprised it was from Primark and 2. I fell in love. So after getting a manager to take my size off the mannequin I bought it haha! You'll see it in future posts I think. Starbucks was the last stop of the day! A perfect way to end a brilliant day.
